Ford Ka 1996-2018 Engine Maintenance Light Reset

The Ford Ka is a small car manufactured by the American manufacturer, Ford Motor Company from 1996 to 2016, as a city car, and from 2014 onwards as a subcompact car. It entered its second generation in 2008, being produced by Fiat in Tychy, Poland.A third generation was introduced in 2014.

The first two generations have a three-door hatchback body style, with the first generation also having a two-door convertible version that was marketed as the StreetKA, alongside a sporty hatch version, known as the SportKA. There is also the Ford Ka NOW. The third generation is produced as a five-door hatchback and as a four-door sedan. It was initially only available in Brazil, later being introduced in India, Mexico, South Africa (where it is marketed as the Ford Figo), Argentina and Europe.

Oil Reset Instruction below.

  1. Turn the key to indicator. Do not start the engine. For push button starts, just press the button once without starting the engine.
  2. For turn key ignitions, press both the gas and brake simultaneously for about 20 seconds. 
  3. For push button models, press and hold the button and the gas pedal simultaneously for about 20 seconds. 
  4. The display will say “Resetting Oil”. 
  5. Keep pressed until it says completed.

OTHER OIL RESET INSTRUCTION
  1. Using the directional pad on the left side of the steering wheel, select “Settings“.
  2. Choose “Vehicle“.
  3. Select “Oil Life Reset“.
  4. Press and hold the “OK” button.
  5. Select the percentage you wish to be warned for your next oil change.
OTHER OIL RESET INSTRUCTION
  1. Turn the key to indicator 
  2. Press both the gas and brake simultaneously for about 20 seconds. 
  3. The display will say retting oil. Keep pressed until it says completed

OTHER OIL RESET INSTRUCTION
  1. Push the start button (no clutch, so the engine doesn’t start)
  2. Press on brake and accelerator for 20-25 seconds

OTHER OIL RESET INSTRUCTION
  1. Ensure all doors are closed.
  2. Switch on ignition.
  3. Fully press and hold down both accelerator and brake pedals for 15 seconds.
  4. The service will flash or display service oil reset complete.
  5. Release the pedals.
  6. Service indicator should now be out.
  7. Switch of the ignition and wait 2 minutes.
  8. Service reset should now be reset.
