1999 brought big improvements for GM's full-sized pickups. Engines are smaller but more powerful and economical, and the interior feels spacious. The brakes are also much better, and handling is improved. The ride is stiff with the Z71 model. In extended-cab models, the rear seating has improved dramatically. In fact, these pickups are the only extended-cab models with decent rear seats. Thankfully, a fourth door is finally available. Four-wheel-drive models offer an optional Autotrac system that can remain engaged all the time.

How to Reset the CHANGE ENGINE OIL Message 

To reset the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message, 

1. Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine off. 
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. 

If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes for five seconds, the system is reset
