BMW G30/G31 5 series  Engine Oil Maintenance Light Reset Guide

The BMW 5 Series (G30) is a mid-size executive car produced by German automotive manufacturer BMW, and is the seventh and current generation of the 5 Series. It was officially announced on October 2016 and sales began in February 2017. The body styles of the range are:

    4-door sedan/saloon (G30)
    5-door estate/wagon (G31, marketed as the 5 Series Touring)
    4-door long-wheelbase sedan (G38, only sold in China)

The fastback 5 Series Gran Turismo model from the previous generation is no longer part of the 5 Series model range, and was replaced by the 6 Series Gran Turismo.

BMW G30/G31 5 series  Engine Oil Maintenance Light Reset Guide 2014-2018 OIL RESET

 

 

1. Press the start/stop button once (do not start the engine). 
2. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until the service indicator light appears. 
3. Press the SET/RESET button repeatedly to scroll the service menu. 
4. With the oil change interval highlighted, press and hold the SET/RESET button. 
5. When "RESET" appears,release the SET/RESET button and press and hold again. 
6. Reset complete when "OK" and new mileage appears.
7. Turn ignition off.
