How to Reset Oil Maintenance Light on Ford EcoSport 2003-2018

 

 The Ford EcoSport  is a subcompact crossover SUV, originally built in Brazil by Ford Brazil since 2003, at the Camaçari plant. A second generation concept model was launched in 2012, and is also assembled in new factories in India, Thailand and Russia. The vehicle entered the North American market for the first time in 2017. 

Please follow the oil reset instruction below.

Ford EcoSport Oil reset method 1 

1. Turn off the ignition
    
2. Close all doors.
    
3. Turn the ignition key to position II, If your Escape has push-button start, press and hold the ” Start” for two seconds without touching the brake pedal.
    
4. Next, simultaneously press the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal and hold for a minimum of 20 seconds, until a “Service: Oil reset in prog.” message shows on the instrument cluster display.
    
5. Continue holding the gas and brake pedals until the display says “Service: Oil reset complete”.
    
6. The oil change reminder indicator will turn off. 
7. This confirms that the reset procedure has been correctly completed.

Ford EcoSport Oil reset method 2

1. Turn on the ignition (not the engine).
2.  Hold down the brake and accelerator for twenty seconds until the warning light goes off.
