Chevrolet Impala 2001 Oil Life Maintenance Reset
The revived Impala was all-new for 2000, replacing the aged Lumina. A cousin of the Oldsmobile Intrigue and Pontiac Grand Prix, among others, the Impala is the flagship of Chevrolet s sedan lineup. Engines are GM s 3.4- and 3.8-liter pushrod V6s. Handling is sound and the ride is compliant, though road noise is pronounced. Some of the plastic interior trim surfaces look and feel cheap. Front seats are firm and comfortable, but the rear seat is too low. A roomy trunk rounds out this competent-though-unexceptional model. Options include a driver-only side air bag and a tire-inflation monitoring system.
