Ford Mustang 2000-2018 Oil Maintenance Light Reset

It's been recently updated. The V6 has been retired, leaving the turbocharged, 2.3-liter four-cylinder and 5.0-liter V8, each available with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. Please Follow the Oil Reset Instruction Below

1. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset
2. For some vehicles, you have to go to Settings > ADVANCED SETTINGS > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset
3. Push and hold OK until it resets to 100%
4. Turn off the ignition and then restart the engine

Method 2 Ford Mustang Oil Reset.

1. Press and release the SETUP button to display “Oil Life XXX% Hold Reset = New”
2. Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset oil life to 100%

Method 3 Ford Mustang Oil Reset.

1. Turn the vehicle in the ON position
2. Press and release the TRIP/RESET button until “Setup Menu hold Reset” is displayed
3. Press and hold the TRIP/RESET button until “System Check” is displayed
4. Press and release the TRIP/RESET button to scroll through the menu items until “Hold Reset If New Oil” is displayed
5. Press and hold the TRIP/RESET button until “Oil Life Set To 100%” is displayed
6. Release the button and the oil life is now reset

Method 4 Ford Mustang Oil Reset.

1. Press and release the SETUP control to display OIL LIFE.

2. Press and hold the RESET control for 2 seconds and release.

Oil life is set to 100% and OIL LIFE SET TO 100% is displayed.

3. While OIL LIFE SET TO 100% is displayed, if a lower oil life start value is desired, press and release the RESET control to reduce the start value. Each press of the RESET control reduces the value by 10%.

Oil life start value of 100% equals 7,500 miles or six months.

Method 5 Ford Mustang Oil Reset.

To reset the 2017 Ford Mustang change engine oil life after an oil change service, please follow these instructions:

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).

2. Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll the Menu and select Settings followed by the Vehicle Menu.

3. Select Oil Life Reset XXX% followed by Reset.

4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.Turn the ignition to the “RUN” position.

Press the “SETUP”, “OIL LIFE % HOLD RESET = NEW” will be displayed.

Press and hold “RESET” button for 2 seconds to reset to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” will be displayed.

Turn the ignition off.

Method 6 Ford Mustang Oil Reset.

1. Turn the ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SETUP”, “OIL LIFE % HOLD RESET = NEW” will be displayed.
3. Press and hold “RESET” button for 2 seconds to reset to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” will be displayed.
4. Turn the ignition off.
