How to Reset The Oil Maintenance Light on Ford Explorer 2002-2018

 

Ford Explorer Oil Reset Instruction Method 1

1. Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to scroll to the Settings menu and press the RIGHT arrow to enter the sub-menu.
    
2.  Scroll to the Vehicle menu and press the RIGHT arrow
    
3. Scroll to the Oil Life Reset menu and press the OK button

1. Press RESET button to display “Hold Reset If New Oil”
2. Press and hold RESET button for more than 2 seconds
3. Oil life is set to 100% and “Oil Change Set To 100%” is displayed

1. Turn the vehicle in the ON position
2. Press and release the TRIP/RESET button until “Setup Menu hold Reset” is displayed
3. Press and hold the TRIP/RESET button until “System Check” is displayed
4. Press and release the TRIP/RESET button to scroll through the menu items until “Hold Reset If New Oil” is displayed
5. Press and hold the TRIP/RESET button until “Oil Life Set To 100%” is displayed
6. Release the button and the oil life is now reset

1. Press the SETUP button until the display reads “Press Reset To Begin System Check”
2. Press the RESET button to display “Hold Reset If New Oil”
3. Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds and release
4. The oil life is now set to 100%

1. Press the SETUP (or STATUS) button repeatedly until you see the “System Check” menu
2. Press the RESET button repeatedly until you see the “Oil Life XXX% Hold Reset New” menu
3. Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds or until the display shows “If New Oil, Hold Reset”
4. Release, then press and hold the RESET button again until display shows “Oil Life Set To 100%”

• Turn the vehicle to the ON position
• Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds
• Turn the ignition to OFF position and turn back on to verify reset successful

1. Turn the ignition to the “on” position, but do not start the engine.
2. Use the directional pad on the steering wheel and scroll through the settings area under the heading menu
3. Go to Settings > Vehicle > Oil Life Reset
4. Push and hold OK until it resets to 100%

1. Turn the key on WITHOUT cranking the engine.
2. Press the brake and the accelerator at the same time.hold into you see a sign saying that the reset is in progress...it will take like 30 seconds to clear the oil change required sign until you see that the display says reset oil change COMPLETE!!!
