Historically, the Corolla has hit the small sedan sweet spot of practical size, good performance, and admirable fuel economy. As long as you're not looking for a fun-to-drive driving experience, the Corolla is a solid choice. It's one of the quietest in its class, but engine drone can sometimes be pronounced. STEP 1  Turn the ignition key to the “ACC” or “LOCK” position with the odometer reading shown.

STEP 2  Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.


STEP 3 Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates “000000” and the light goes off.

If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.
